Kenya coffee is renown for its consistency, rich flavor along with a deep, wine-like acidity and pleasant aroma. It is mainly grown in high altitude in rich volcanic soil.

The botanical arabica varieties are:

  • SL 28
  • SL 34
  • Ruiru 11

The main harvest is from October to December and a fly crop from June to August. Upon harvesting the coffee is processed in pulping machines, washed and sun dried.

The coffee is graded based on density, size (measured using screens) and color of the beans. Main grades include:

  • Grade AA (18/64 of an inch - screen size 17 and 18)
  • Grade AB (17/64 of an inch - screen size  15 and 16)
  • Grade C (typically smaller than AB - screen size 14 and 15)
  • Grade PB (Peaberry)

We mainly supply coffee grades AA, AB and PB which are all premium coffees and most sought. All coffee is SPOT and located at our warehouse in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Please contact us for more information including availability.
